Britse romantische komedie uit 1994, geregisseerd door Mike Newell en geschreven door Richard Curtis. De film was destijds een onverwacht groot succes. Hij brak alle Britse filmrecords en werd genomineerd voor een Oscar in de categorie Beste Film. Ook nu nog wordt Four Weddings and a Funeral beschouwd als een van de beste Britse films ooit gemaakt.
De film betekende tevens de internationale doorbraak van hoofdrolspeler Hugh Grant. Hij en schrijver Richard Curtis werkten nog tweemaal succesvol samen aan Notting Hill (1999) enLove Actually (2003).
The film follows the fortunes of Charles and his friends as they wonder if they will ever find true love and marry. Charles thinks he's found "Miss Right" in Carrie, an American. This British subtle comedy revolves around Charlie, his friends and the four weddings and one funeral which they attend.
